Why use a Flasher? What color?
By Catch'em All Fishing Meister | September 05, 2009 at 01:08 AM EDT | No Comments

A word about Flashers: Some believe they are more speed tolerant than Dodgers.

About Color: You have to experiment. White is a good default since it goes good with everything.

Enter the World of the Spinny!

Today marks a new chapter for me in the fishing/internet world! It is now the fishing/internet/blogging world.

My goal here is to discuss issues surrounding the world of salmon and trout fishing and, of course any other types of fish that would enjoy hitting on an 8 inch flasher like, say a Spinny.

Also of interest is where the Spinny is used most successfully.
So far, there are 4 basic areas where Spinnys sell the best (Always looking to expand the list):
1. Lake Ontario, USA & Canada
2. The Washington, USA / Vancouver, Canada area
3. Lake Vanern / Skagerrak / Kattegat, Sweden
4. Lake Michigan, USA

I'd like to see some good areas/big fish locations in the southern hemisphere and Alaska.

How do Spinny's/Flashers/Dodgers work in warm water areas of the Pacific and Atlantic?

Most successful depths
Best combinations
Best speeds
